The Higher Diploma in Digital Accounting can lead to a highly valued and rewarding career in one of the world's fastest growing professions.
The 2-year Higher diploma degree at St Hugh's College Vientiane provides a strong foundation in all aspects of accounting with 42 credits of technical education, such as payroll, income tax, auditing, and business ethics. In addition, you will gain a well-rounded education with a range of coursework in economics, marketing, communications, math, and the humanities (18 credits). Additionally, it gives students the background knowledge required for admission to year 2 or 3 of the bachelor's programme via credit transfer.
The programme is divided into modules assessed via continuous assessments (include case studies, class tests, discussions, oral presentations, group projects, and practical assignments) for 70% and a final exam for 30%. Between the 1st and 2nd study year, students have to undertake a 13-week paid internship.

Learn the practical procedures and techniques of using Xero computerised accounting software to prepare financial statements.
Advanced Financial Accounting
Build on the competencies gained in the Year 1 Financial Accounting module and acquire an understanding of relatively advanced financial accounting transactions and events, and develop practical skills in preparing and interpreting financial statements.
Management Accounting
Develop an understanding and technical competency in costing, planning, control, and decision- making to support key business functions and activities.
Financial Data Management
Gain (i) an understanding of data management and analysis, and (ii) the practical skills to apply software techniques and methods in support of analysis and resolution of financial accounting, management accounting and taxation issues on a multidisciplinary basis.
Work-Practice Module
To obtain the Diploma in Digital Accounting, in addition to successfully completing all core study modules, learners must complete two work-practice modules.
